10.6 FUTURE SCOPE/DIRECTIONS
The chapter in its present state has clearly demonstrated Blockchain technology
and various myths and realities associated with it so as to provide users with a bet
ter understanding of Blockchain. Blockchain, being such a powerful technology,
has a broader future scope for implementation in various areas that have remained
untouched, like digital advertising, managing world trade, forecasting, the IoT, and
networking and cloud storage. Blockchain technology could be used in many sectors
in the future as well as in government programs, as these systems are slow, congested
and potentially corrupt. Implementing Blockchain technology in a government sys
tem can make its operations much safer and more efficient. Supply chain manage
ment is also one vital area where Blockchain can be used to make transactions more
effective and transparent and reduce human error and time delays. Future implemen
tation will involve exploring its potential in these areas and also exploring any myths
that may not have been included in this study.
